Anne of Cleves is seated wearing a beautiful regal green and gold gown, she is busy doing some needlework.

After Jane Seymours death Henry remained single for 2 years.  Anne was ill-suited for life at the English court, and most famously Henry did not find her the least bit attractive and is said to have called her a " Flanders mare".  After this short marriage of only 6 months was dissolved Anne accepted the title of the "Kings sister", she lived away from court, in the English countryside untill her death in 1557, she is buried in a somewhat hard to find tomb in Westminister Abbey.

This beautiful Royal Doulton figurine is of first quality with no chips, cracks or restoration.
